Arguments are based on Logos, Ethos and Pathos

Almost all arguments are based on Aristotle’s; LOGOS, ETHOS and PATHOS. These modes of persuasion are devices in rhetoric that classify the speaker’s appeal to the audience. The use of Logos is using facts, where Ethos is  trustworthiness (e.g. referring to a professor, doctor or an executive of a company), and Pathos refers to emotions like; love, fear, patriotism, guilt, hate or joy. Knowing these different styles of arguments is powerful being a presenter or just someone who tries to persuade someone.

80 % of our knowledge is bullshit !

Yes, only 20 % of your knowledge are FACTS. How can you use this kind of information? This shows the importance of you experiencing things on your own, and not adapting others stories or assumptions, but making up your mind on your own. This should make your mind start thinking — > 80 % is just bullshit !

Break down your GREAT goals into smaller pieces

Pursue your great goals in life! This tool is going to help you reach your goals in life, by breaking them down and making them less chaotic and more accessible . We begin with the outer circle and now you must start dreaming! What do you want to achieve before you die? Write that down in this circle. Afterwards, what can you do within the next 5 years to achieve these goals ? What can you do within the next year and what can you do TODAY !? You can change the parameters (year, month, day) if you like – the exercise will be the same.

The more you learn, the more you realize how little you know

The more I learn, the more I learn how little I know – Socrates

When growing older, more knowledge comes into your head, and you become wiser. But notice that the periphery of the circle, which is all the things that you don’t know, also expands during this process. So’, the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know.

Focus – why only one task at a time ?

You are most effective ( 100 % ) when focusing on only one task at a time. Doing two things simultaneously, shifts your focus and the efficiency on each task reduces to 40 % each, which means you lost 20 % of your efficiency in total. Moving down the pyramid, and doing four tasks at the same time,  your efficiency will then be reduced with astonishing 60% (!). This is because you use all your energy at switching focus between the four tasks. One task = maximum focus.
